Me and Dad went for a bike ride up the Rimutaka Incline.  We stopped on a bridge and there was heaps of cicadas.  At first I was scared of holding them but then I caught one and it wasnt even scary. So then I caught 5 more.

My maths

I worked out 48+18 by rounding and compensating. I rounded 48 to 50  by adding 2 then I took that off the answer to compensate.
